Sylvia's social
life is about as barren as the wildlife reserve she manages, until
a rare migrant bird tempts hundreds of birdwatching men into her remote
and fragile world.
Appraisal:
A lovely 'Local Hero' style comedy. Which beguiles, thrills and
trills !
With careful development a potential winner.

and secondly have his child. But she falls for a farmhand......naturally.
Appraisal:
A kind of Lady
C (Chatterley) but comic by turn and of course comtempary, a well
structed yarn with very funny eccentric characters.
A comic gangster
caper, where youngster ' Tyler ' joins a hard gang with the sole purpose
of riping them off.
Appraisal:
Not entirely
an original theme but 'Chips' succeeds mainly because of it's simple
story and comedy angle. The characters may again seem slightly stock,
but they're extemely funny in the bargain. Well worth a read.
G'Waba
Girls. (Recent winner of a Golden Remi at the Houston Worldfest.)

Synopsis:
Being a teenager
is like being an alien-you feel like a freak and your body's doing
weird things, Except that for Anna the metaphor's become reality-
after she crosses paths with a runaway alien princess.
Appraisal:
Very well written
comedy mainly for teenage girls. It's a high concept 'Princess Diaries'
piece. If this isn't your thing I 'd certainly advise anyone looking
for a comedy writing team to look at this as a example of their work
Seventy minutes
of comedy sketches on the theme of government warnings and general
crazy topics.
Appraisal:
Extremely witty
and original sketches. From name dropping classes to loony EU directives
(A women under new EU law is able to sue her child for sleep deprevation)
A great read and a superb calling card for Tom as a sketch writer.
Kleptomanic
is the story of...well a compulsive thief who steals nothing but rubbish.
Then one day he steals a piece of rubbish that's worth £10million.
Appraisal:
Very funny
and well written comedy with likeable characters. Currently having
re-writes to focus story more. Strongly recommend you take a look
in a few weeks time.
