An intriguing
mixture of genres, as the western meets the horror format. Thriller'
meets 'High Noon'. Don't want to give away more.
Appraisal:
A very successful attempt to do something different. It has humour,
horror and action in equal measure. Good Characters, classy set
pieces. A script that you can't put down. A true page turner as
they say.

Title:
Got
it bad (ROMANTIC/THRILLER)
Author(s):
Sam North
Date:
15-12-06
Synopsis:
A man who wants
to sing and who's with the wrong woman. And a woman who wants rid
of her stalking husband come together in this steamy tale set in Savannah.
Appraisal:
Rich in atmosphere
and setting, 'Got it Bad' feels like a classic romantic movie of the
thirties. Jazz figures strongly and the relationship angle is excellent,
as is the underlying tension from the ex husband.
Good Company
is set in a psychiatric hospital in the Bronx. Billy one of the inmates
is a arch con merchant scamming off anyone and everyone he can. It's
only when Dorothy a young attractive woman arrives that Billy is forced
to mend his ways, but not without a fight. In the end Billy not only
saves his fellow inmates from certain homelessness, but also pulls
the con of a lifetime to the benefit of them all.
Appraisal:
A heartwarming
well told story, full of rich characters. Good Company is an old fashioned
upbeat story, of which there definitely should be more of.
